When I started offering aesthetic treatments, all I knew was the brand I was trained on, which doesn’t really matter but I’ll just say it wasn’t good enough for a great result. So before I started offering treatments at my clinic, I researched the marked, tried a few different brands taking into consideration their quality and client’s affordability.
I narrowed it down to 3 different brands, tried, tested and loved by myself and clients.
So I will start with: REVOLAX
Revolax is a relatively new brand of dermal filler. It’s cross linked HA (hyaluronic acid) with a durable and consistent structure. Due to it’s low phase angle, it has very little risk of product migrating away from the injection site.
There are 3 forms of Revolax, depending on the area to be treated, these are Revolax fine, deep and sub-q.
It can last up to 18 months, it contains lidocaine (numbing agent) and it holds full European Medical CE accreditation.
This is a great option for my budget conscious clients.
The second product I offer is: RESTYLANE
Again, a relatively new product, previously known as Emervel Lips, Restylane Kysse is also a cross linked HA and contains vital ingredients that work around your lips to plump them and regenerate the loss of volume.
The overall results can last up to 9 months, in some cases 12 months. It also contains lidocaine (numbing agent) making the procedure a lot more comfortable.
In my own opinion this is the most natural looking result you’ll get, it looks soft and subtle.
And the last product I offer: JUVEDERM
This brand is known, boy it’s known… It has lead the market for many years and it’s products cost more. There are a few fillers that can be used on lips, Volbella (lasts for up to 18 months) and Ultra 2 and 3 (lasts up to 12 months).
It’s no different from the others, it’s cross linked HA, has lidocaine and gives a good volume still keeping a natural result.
Volbella being a good option as it lasts longer.
My conclusion is, there is very little difference between these products, Restylane gives you a very natural finish, Juvederm and Restylane gives you longer lasting results. Truth is, while there are lip fillers that are supposed to last up to 18 months, the longevity of the results really depend on your body, results vary massively from client to client because hyaluronic acid is a natural occurring substance in the body and the body works to break it down until no dermal filler is left.
