Semi permanent cosmetic treatments normally require multiple treatment sessions. For best results, you will be require to return for at least one retouch treatment between 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment.
Be prepared for the colour intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the treatment. This will subside and become lighter as the tissue heals. This process can take up to 10 days.
Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, or coumadin for two days before and two days after the treatment. However, you must not discontinue any medication before consulting your doctor.
Do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment.
Brow Treatments
Any waxing should be performed at least 48 hours before the treatment.
Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for two weeks prior to the treatment.
Eyeliner Treatments
Any lash tinting or perming should not be undertaken for a week before or two weeks after the treatment.
You may experience some swelling, please have someone drive you home.
Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately after the treatment. Remember to bring your glasses.
Lip Treatments
If you have a history of cold sores, we advise you contact your doctor to obtain the proper prescription medication to prevent outbreaks. Alternatively, obtain medication such as Zovirax and use one week before and one week after your treatment. This can help minimise an outbreak.
Permanent cosmetics do not cause cold sores, however, if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the body and can be aroused by the treatment.
Lip wax or bleaching should not be undertaken for two weeks prior to the treatment.
